Ndejje, Prison Spears Triumph In Handball League.

It was a tightly contested game between the two sides with the first half ending 13- 12 in favor of the University side.

Spears however came back with a strategy of man marking Namuwaya Maimuna who had troubled them a through the first half and this eventually worked out for Prison and the game ended 29 – 23 in their favor.

Ajio Lillian and Nakafero Juliet top scored for Prison with 13 and 5 goals respectively while Namuwaya Maimuna top scored for Nkumba with 10 goals this win put Prison Spears top of the table with 10 points but a game more than rivals Police Lady Metro while Nkumba University Tornadoes stay 3rd on the table.

In the men’s category, Ever Green came from behind to pip Police Kifaru, narrowly beating them 31 – 29in what was a must win for Ever Green who had lost 6 out of their 7 games this season and ending up in unusual position of 6th on the table.

The win however moved them one position above Arrows to 5th. The game that looked like was going Kifaru’s way ended up with a win for Ever Green after Kifaru lost concentration and turned over the ball twice and Ever Green capitalized on these turnovers to take the day.

Ephraim Bukenya and Orotin Jimmy top scored for Ever Green with 7 and 6 goals respectively and similarly, Okodi Moses and Isma Kisalita top scored for Police with 7 and 6 goals respectively.

In the other game of the day, Ndejje University Scorpions beat Arrows 35 to 31 goals to move a step ahead of rivals Police Metro to 3rd position.

It was another tightly contested game that saw both teams attacking each other vigorously with the first half ending 12 for all.

Second half started rather on the same note but the Scorpions through Felix Mukunzi and Kato Wakasi kept Arrows on their toes all the time as they continued pouncing on to Arrows defenders and ended up taking the day for the University side.

Felix Mukunzi top scored for Ndejje with 11 goals while Kato Wakasi and Nadyizeye Gilbert added 5 each. Okidi Denis and Wadanga Honest top scored for Arrows with 6 goals each.
