The court martial headed by Brig. Moses Ssentongo has spent the whole of this week without citing any case.

A case involving an army officer who allegedly was behind the attacks on Mbuya military barracks on March 2013 in which the state was supposed to submit in more witnesses to give evidence against the attackers has not been held.

When our Chimp Corp tried to inquire from the concerned officers, they reportedly told him that there was no fuel to help transport the suspects from Luzira, Makindye and Kigo in order to appear before court hence court didn’t sit on Tuesday and Wednesday as scheduled.

When the Chimp Corp tried to inquire as to reason why, an officer who preferred anonymity said, “Due to unforeseen circumstances the court didn’t sit today.”

This state of affairs at the Makindye based court martial has therefore delayed justice for many people who were supposed to appear before the court since it has remained closed without any business taking place.
