“You can’t lead people if they don’t trust you, and love and integrity build trust in a leader,” said Pastor Warren.

He also said that communication in an institution is crucial because it gives clarity and also fosters understanding.

Speaking at the occasion, Prime Minister Dr. Pierre Damien Habumuremyi thanked Pastor Rick Warren and his delegation for the work they do for Rwanda.

Discussing leadership, Dr. Habumuremyi said that Rwandans know well the consequences of bad leadership which led to the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi.

“Trust in the government has been rebuilt over time thanks to the leadership of President Paul Kagame.”

The interactive session by Pastor Warren centred on how to be a more effective leader.
