“The drivers have been informed to put their portraits in their buses plus the toll free police numbers to enable passengers call police in case of any problem on the way,” said Kiwanuka.
He urges every passenger to have a toll free number at least in his/her phone.
“In case of a problem of theft or high way robbery the passenger can immediately call the police and get helped before the situation worsens,” added Kiwanuka.
He went ahead to give out the toll free numbers for traffic police; 0800199099 and 0800199399.
Kiwanuka has called upon the traffic police to make it mandatory for every driver to have his portrait in the buses and police toll free numbers. “In case one doesn’t have it, he should be given an express penalty.”
