visit this site geneva; font-size: small;”>Excellence means striving for one’s own best and fulfilling the potential that God has given each child.

A pillar is a cornerstone of the spiritual foundation whose objective is to strengthen one’s faith and commitment.

The first cornerstone is Wisdom.

The element is one of the most important virtues in life that we need to fully understand in all its dimensions but this time we want to talk about divine wisdom.

Divine wisdom recognizes God as its source and foundation. When we recognize it, we become industrious that is hard-working, productive and diligent. It makes us more articulate in our talking. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. (Proverbs 4:7)

When the Lord came to Solomon, he gave him an opportunity to ask what he wished from Him, he asked for wisdom and knowledge; the Lord said since you have asked for wisdom not for long life, not for rest from your enemy, neither riches nor honour. I will give you all the others.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, that gives to all men liberally, and upbraids not; and it shall be given him. James 1:5

Divine wisdom is more than intelligence or just being clever and has two qualities:The intellectual quality and moral quality.

Intellectual quality

In consideration of its intellectual nature, divine wisdom is a special ability which empowers our mental faculties to conceive special ideas, and the corresponding power to apply them.

It carries the element of cleverness and quickness in comprehension. It illuminates our mental lives and gives our minds a larger range of operation which goes beyond our experience, tradition and environment.

We are able to explain and understand easily what ordinary men will have trouble to grasp. It ranges from clear reasoning abilities to the conception of constructive, creative and productive ideas.

The Moral quality

When we look at wisdom from the moral perspective, it is seen as the special ability which empowers our moral fibers to walk in a greater degree of general goodness, uprightness and integrity.

The word moral is defined as, the inbuilt ability in the nature of man which helps him or her to be ethically right, honest, decent, just and honorable. So, intelligence will take care of mental strength, while the moral quality aspect will provide the moral strength, the inner ability to naturally do good.

Divine Wisdom is in fact the practical side of moral goodness. It is only found in its fullness in God alone. Therefore, true wisdom comes from a vital relationship with God; it centers about God, it begins with Him and ends with Him.

Intellectual power without moral control may not be so much separated from foolishness by divine standard; because to be truly wise in the biblical sense, someone’s intelligence and cleverness must be attached to moral quality. Our cleverness must respect the rights of other, be honest, decent, just and must have a good intention in all its operations.

For us to conceive a wide perspective of the operation of wisdom, we shall look at the varying definitions of wisdom. It is widely defined as, the ability to rightly apply relevant knowledge in all moral, intellectual and spiritual matters.

It is the art of reaching one’s end by the use of the right means. It is the creative impression of God which brings practical solutions to the issues of life.

Wisdom can also be defined as, seeing with a divine perspective. It is the heavenly discernment; the ability to possess insight into the heart of things, being able to understand spiritual realities and the intricacies (details or workings) of the human heart.

Wisdom is the power to see and the inclination to choose the best and highest goal together with the surest means of attaining it.

It is the ability to intelligibly diagnose a situation, put the solution together and carry through those solutions to the ultimate end of practical result. In other words, Wisdom causes us to undertake the right decision and implement it with the right action.

Divine wisdom in more strict biblical sense is defined as trust in God and avoidance of sin. Proverbs 4:13 says “Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.”

If we have knowledge and the ability to apply it and we do not apply it, it means that Mr. Wisdom is lacking in our lives and simple English calls us fools. It is rated to be the springboard of honour which draws a line between the failures and the successful in the economy of God.
