try geneva; font-size: small;”>Hassan Kahinda, the deputy Fire Brigade Executive Officer told Chimpreports that since the organization has got extra vehicles, they are set to open up 20 new fire stations both in central and up country to reduce on the high pressure from traffic jam in Kampala.
He said traffic jam around the city has been delaying the fire department from carrying out its duties efficiently.
Kahinda added that the districts that will receive some of the vehicles include Lira, soroti, Moroto, Kitgum, Malaba, Mubende, Busia border, Iganga, Masindi, Mityana, Lugazi, Kabale, Kisoro to facilitate Kyanika boarder, Ntugamo and Luwero.
“The organization is also training drivers on fire vehicle maintenance and operation to help save lives,” he said.
