President Yoweri Museveni has for the last three weeks been touring different part of the country to launch poverty-eradication schemes to uplift the living standards of the army veterans.

This followed reports that the veterans, despite contributing the toppling of dictatorial regimes of Milton Obote and Idi Amin, were living in abject poverty, a situation that would have been exploited by enemies to destabilize the country.

While meeting veterans in Buhweju, Museveni warned that he would personally deal with whoever plans to cause chaos in Uganda.

Museveni on Friday met Robina Kasadha a former fighter and widow of late Engineer Kasadha who was murdered during the NRA struggle.

Others include families of Mr. Ntalo (rip) and Mr. Nkooko (rip). The President has spoken very fondly of his comrades.
