Rwabinobya allegedly committed the crime on June 28, 2013 and was later granted bail by police.

This is evident in a letter dated July 10, 2013 addressed to Bishop of Kigezi, Rt Rev. George Katwesigye signed by Christians who included Aggrey Natukunda, Jackline Mbabazi, Joy Tumwiine and Apollo Byomuhangi accusing Rwabinobya for being involved in the evil acts yet he was serving in the kingdom of God.

The Christians in their letter are demanding that the suspect be investigated and be thrown out of the church as the member of synod.

Joy Tumwiine told Chimpreports that what is most hurtful is that the diocesan provincial secretary, Rev. Can George Bagamuhunda also contributed Ush 1million for the release of the murder suspect Rwabinobya.

In efforts to get a comment form Rev. Bagamuhunda remained fruitless as his known phone numbers could not go through in three attempts.
