Anold Kisulo, Joshua Ekirikubinga and Jamillah Lunkuse who is the team captain are the three to represent Uganda though Jamillah who is not in the country (Uganda) will join the team in Barcelona.
Team coach Muzafaruh Muwanguzi said “expectations of coming back with any medal shouldn’t be high since I am taking inexperienced team but with time they will be able to use skills they will acquire from Barcelona.”
Ganzi Mugula who was Uganda’s captain during the Olympics games in London is hopeful the players will secure positive results from Barcelona.
“I think they know what to do save for Joshua who has never gone for any international event before but the two can make it,” said Mugula.
While Uganda did not secure medals during the 2012 London Olympics, the local swimming federation is looking at nurturing young talent which should be able to rise and shine come 2016 in Brazil.
