The plane carrying the President and his entourage touched down at the N’djili International Airport at 4.05 local time on July 17.

On arrival, the President was received by senior DRC Government officials led by Foreign Minister Raymond Tshibanda alongside officials of the Kenya High Commission to DRC.

The President, who has been attending a special African Union Summit in Nigeria over the last two days, departed Abuja International Airport at midday local time for Kinshasa.

He was expected to hold talks with President Joseph Kabila.

The President is accompanied by Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs Amb. Amina Mohamed, his health counterpart Mr. James Macharia and Principal Secretary for Foreign Affairs Mr. Karanja Kibicho, among other senior Government officials.

The President is expected in Kenya on Thursday.
