Soccer fans and guests had the opportunity to meet Fortune at Kampala Sheraton Hotel on Monday .

The star was on hand to sign autographs and memorabilia and to discuss what has made the team (Manchester United) a success. This is evident with its 659 million supporters worldwide of which 173 million are in Africa and the Middle East alone.

Fortune had visited Uganda before in the Baclays premier league trophy tour, however there was no much chance to interact with some individuals.

The footballer visited the Ntinda School for the Deaf in support of DHL’s GoTeach corporate responsibility pillar.

Fortune will have more time with Ugandans this evening at Shelaton Hotel to discuss more about himself and his former club as well as his nation South Africa.

Quinton Fortune (born 21 May 1977) is a South African former footballer who has represented a number of European clubs including Manchester United, Atletico Madrid and Bolton Wanderers.

Fortune has earned 46 caps for South Africa, including playing in the 1998 and the 2002 World Cups. He most recently played for Doncaster Rovers, but failed to earn an extension to his contract when it expired in January 2010.
