Kanzira started with a 3 to 1 win over Allen Namubiru in the Round of 64 and survived Phiona Nalubega in the Quarter Final Round with a 3 to 2 victory.

In the Sem Finals Kanzira met the First ever Pool Queen Champion Tendo Brenda, a game in which a lot of Skills were displayed. Carol scored the first frame and Tendo took the second. Carol returned highly concentrated and didn’t give Tendo any other chance.

The two time winner and defending queen, Jacinta Kajubi, had lost to Justine Nampebwa 3 to 0 in the Round of 32. Tendo Brenda later thrashed Justine 3 to 1 in the Round of 16.

During the Quarter Final play offs, games were unpredictable as none of the participants gave their opponents any breathing Space. The 2011 finalist and last year’s Second Runner Up, Nakiridde Hadijah, beat Capital Night’s Nebira Barbra 3 to 1 while Nakayiza Joan escaped Little Known Florence Romana 3 to 2.

“I am very happy because this is what I have been looking for for the past four years”, said Kanzira, the USPA Female Pool Player of the Year 2012.

On her part, Hadijah said she was extremely disappointed having lost for the second time at the Pool Queen Championship final.

“May be its not yet my time, Surely God hasn’t been on my side” said a much disappointed Hadijah.
