The plane carrying the President and his delegation departed Jomo Kenyatta International Airport shortly before 2:00 pm.

President Kenyatta is accompanied by Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Amb. Amina Mohammed and Health Cabinet Secretary Mr. James Macharia among others.

The Head of State was seen off at the airport by senior Government officials.

Earlier today, Kenyatta joined other Christian faithful for a Sunday mass at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Parklands, Nairobi.

The service was conducted by Father Clement Gachanja while the sermon, which was based on the books of St. Luke chapter 10 verses 25-37 and Deuteronomy chapter 30 verses 10-14, was delivered by Father Anselm


Addressing the congregation immediately after the service, President Kenyatta thanked Christians for praying for him and his Government.

The President also urged Christians to continue praying for the peace and unity of all Kenyans without which, he said, no tangible development can be achieved.
