“In a bid to calm the situation, the officer (Musitwa) is suspected to have accidentally shot and killed Mutebi,” said Sentamu.

“However, we have arrested our officer and he is being detained at Entebbe Police station as investigations continue,” added Sentamu.

Meanwhile, the body of Mutebi has been taken to Mulago Referral Hospital for postmortem.

Nsubuga used to work as a maid as well as a gatekeeper at Nakityo’s residence in Wakiso.

It’s suspected the pair picked up a fight following a disagreement on the amount of salary Nsubuga was mandated to receive.

On that fateful day, Nsubuga reportedly used a sharp object to murdered Solome, charges the suspect denies.

Nsubuga says he only found his boss in a pool of blood on the floor which prompted him to take off.

“We have apprehended him in connection with the murder of Nakityo, an incident that happened three months ago. But if found guilty, he will be charged with murder,” said Steven Kaija, the OC CID Kasangati police station.

The suspect is currently detained at Kasangati Police Station.
