Nile Special Grand Pool Qualifiers Set For Final Stretch

The Nile Special Open Pool Championships is the biggest event on the Pool Association of Uganda (PAU) calendar. Alfred ‘Black Sheep’ Gumikiriza is the tourney’s reigning champion.

Fans and players have jammed the 35 playing centers countrywide of Makindye, Northern, Central, Eastern, Rubaga, Mid-West and Nakawa played so far, while the 8 top seeded players in the country join the 70 players who have already got a bye to play in the grand finale.
From the week 7 action, mouthwatering thriller were witnessed in Nakawa region from which 5 playing centers were played in Ntinda, Kinawataka, Bweyogerere, Kamwokya and Kireka zones.

The highlight of Nakawa weekend was played at Ntinda based Rock Catalina pub where the pre-event overwhelming favorite, Simon Lubulwa of Club Mambule was out witted by home boy, Oscar Ocacakon, who is also the Chairman of Rock Catalina Pool Club.

The qualifiers enter the final bends with next weekend’s action moving to western Uganda region where 6 qualifying playing centers in Kabale, Rukungiri, Ntungamo, Ibanda, Ishaka, and Mbarara will be played.

All participating players get a Nile Special Certificate. The grand winner will receive a Toyota progress, Ug.shs 2M, a brand new pool table and will become the Nile Special Pool Ambassador for one year.
