Another Journalist Gunned Down In Somalia

pharmacy geneva;”>Farah, who was working with Kalsan satellite television station, was killed by unknown gunmen on Sunday in Galkayo, on the border between the semi-autonomous Puntland and Galmudug.

Eyewitnesses said four armed men fired bullets at the journalist, killing him instantly.

In 2012 at least 18 journalists were gunned down, compelling United Nations to pile pressure on Mogadishu to provide security to correspondents.

The Al Shabaab have in the past been blamed for the murder of journalists but recent research pointed to the role of politicians who are allergic to criticism and look at elimination as a way of settling scores.
