The Bishop noted that most local people have remained poor in the last 50 years mostly in rural areas because their leaders only come back to them during elections.

He instead encouraged them to always carry out seminars and trainings aimed at equipping people with skills on how to generate income in their households.

Bishop Rubaramira further urged parents to enroll their children in seminaries emphasizing that the church needs more priests to lead the vast number of flock.
