Public Warned Against Fake Education Institutions

In a statement released on Thursday, Mrs Tumusiime reveals the fake institution has been urging people to contact its “secretariat” on Post Office box number 2093, Kampala or emails studentfundug@gmail.com and student@fund.go.ug.


She also said that recently these individuals published information in one of the newspapers in Uganda calling upon students to apply before June 28, 2013 and to pay application fees to Diamond Trust Bank Ltd under on account number 7206952952 under the account name SEFU Grant.


“As a result, some students have been defrauded of their money as others continue to be defrauded,” said Mrs Katusiime.


“Criminal investigations have been commenced and the public is hereby informed that authentic information regarding student loans or scholarships should be obtained only from the Ministry of Education and Sports headquarters,” said Katusiime in a statement seen by Chimpreports on Friday.


He urged the public to address their inquiries regarding student loans to Students Loans Taskforce of the Ministry of Education and Sports Jubilee at Insurance Building, Parliamentary Avenue in Kampala.
