Unveiling the new online booking on Thursday, Muleya added that it was unleashed after thorough testing and approval.
“The new platform which was launched in June this year allows customers to search, book and pay for their tickets on the Air Uganda website in real time,” Muleya said.
Muleya said customers are to use all major payment channels like ATM Cards/ debit cards, credit cards (Visa, MasterCard), pay-pal and mobile money which include M-Pesa and Airtel Money.
The CEO added: “Once payment is made, the air ticket is delivered on the email address. Those who use on-line will receive a 20 percent discount of their journey.”
He emphasized that Air Uganda is always exploring better and more innovate ways to serve its customers.
“Our new payment platform brings our services to your computer and mobile phone. This is a significant development in our ability to service our customers 24hour basis worldwide,” Muleya added.
“With the world getting busier and more technologically advanced, Air Uganda is implementing modern systems to serve the customer and make their travel experience stress free and convenient,” he added.
During the unveiling, a free ticket to Mombasa has been won by one journalist Celement, after being purchased by the CEO on line.
