“I decided to visit the sub counties in Aswa and follow how government programs like NAADS, NUSAF, PRDP are performing but I am shocked to find most of the Sub County offices even for political leaders still locked at midday,” he told the press.

Aswa County is represented by Hon. Reagan Okumu as their Member of Parliament.

Mr Kidega said at Patiko Health Center III, out of the 17 staff members only one Nursing Officer identified as Charity Aboche with her Nursing Assistant, Florence Aruku were found treating more than 60 patients in a long line yet other colleagues including the one in charge of the Health Center, Nancy Kiden Adong were absent.

Meanwhile, the RDC’s visit took most school head teachers by surprise after he asked for daily teacher attendance list, previous PLE results

In one of the primary schools in Bucoroo, four teachers were reported to have not been in school for over four days without noticing the head teacher, says Mrs Josephine Ogom, the School Head.

These teachers were identified by the head teacher as Denis Opoka, Lucy Arach, Henry Oloya Peter and Martin Okumu Labeja. The RDC vowed to act immediately upon them.

He promised to ensure an improvement is made in the education and health sector.
