Airtel says its acquisition of Warid Uganda on April 23, 2013 has greatly strengthened the Company’s customer base in the country.


Adding on the Warid telecom customers, Airtel now boosts of about 7. 2 million customers.


However, the new conglomerate faces challenges of poor network and phone call breaks.

As spreads its tentacles across the region, customers will surely demand for better services in the competitive industry.


But Somasekhar says with the two telecom companies merging, communication has been made easier and cheaper for their subscribers.
