Bob Kyeyune 4-1 Jackson Ssenkindu
Adam Sadam 4-3 Prime Rock Abitegeka
Isaac Mabaya 4-3 John Kasuku
Naboth Baryamushega 4-2 Vianney Toyisengii
Bob Kyeyune of Isabella Pool club triumphed over all defeating Jackson Ssenkindu 4-1 in the best of seven final in what has become a highly strategic battle to become the next champion of the cue.
“This is what we expected,” said Michael Mawanda the Pool Association of Uganda publicist.
“Many players are taking time to choose the playing centers where they can easily qualify from. Last year Kyeyune lost at Pride Pub in Bweyogerere so it was obvious that he was going to look for a rather less competitive playing center this year.”
About the Isabella Pool player, Mawanda revealed that, “Kyeyune is a very experienced player who turned professional about four years ago with Victoria Pool Club. I have watched him in various pool events and I trust he has a very good shot at the championship.”
Elsewhere, Adam Sadam, described as “a very good player that can defeat any seed” triumphed 4-3 over Prime Rock Abitegeka who was beginning to consider the regional championship of Hoima as a birthright having won it two consecutive years.
In Fort Portal, little known Isaac Mabaya defeated two time regional champion John Kasuku while Naboth Baryamushega triumphed in Kasese.
