A Toyota Noah brand car had earlier knocked the rear of the truck carrying the fuel tanker leading to the leakage.


The President who was in Dar es salaam participating in Smart Partnership International Dialogue since sent a condolence message to the families of the fire incident.


He said he was “deeply saddened” by the loss of lives in the accident.


“Dear Ugandans, I have learnt with great shock of the tragedy in which vehicles have been burnt by fuel tanker fire at Namungona causing loss of lives,” said Museveni on Sunday morning.
