The 6-time Ugandan champions were nailed by a Desmond Owiri monster dunk right at the buzzer to register their second successive loss after succumbing to a78-87 loss in the hands of last year’s semifinalists DMark Power.

Nick Natuhereza’s UCU extended their unbeaten run to seven league games with the remarkable win that sent Falcons to fourth place of the log.

“We don’t work as a team and made so many unnecessary fouls to calm down the pace of the game but we were caught at the break,” Falcons coach Gat Etau told ChimpSport after the game.

A Ramadhan Dura and Steven Omony led Falcons side fought hard in the final quarter to reverse the direction of the high tempo game but UCU’s combined brilliance of Suudi Ulanga and Cyrus Kiviri killed off the game late in the last seconds.

Omony scored a game high 27 points but could not save his side from defeat.

Meanwhile a Stephen Okias inspired Ndejje Angels thrashed Miracle 78-43 to edge closer to the top half of the log.

Youngster Jonah Otim high scored for the University side recording 12 points.
