The driver of the Canter brand car died on spot, according to eyewitnesses.

Two other people who were in the Canter have been rushed to Mulago Referral Hospital in critical condition.

“The fog that enveloped Kampala today morning could have caused the accident. We suspect the truck driver was not seeing properly the cars ahead of him,” said Dennis Kizito, an eyewitness.

Police officials who took over the crime scene to carry out investigations into the incident also said accidents are common during thick fogs.

“Visibility at the time of this absurd incident was down to about 100 feet, or even less and should a driver have visibility reduced to that amount, one can’t rule out the possibility of an accident,” a Police Traffic Cop told Chimpreports.
