The 24 man team led by Arthur Blick Jr will open up title defence at Jamuhuri Park in Nairobi this weekend. Arthur who was instrumental in last year’s Uganda title conquering, hasn’t been too much involved in motocross in 2013 devoting most of his time to motorcross where he is fourth on the National Rally Championship.

Blick who featured in last weekend’s Mountain Dew Motocross Lubiri Championship believes the title defence will not come cheaply though.

“Though I haven’t been in the game this year, I’m looking forward to a competitive weekend in Nairobi with my experience as the team captain,” Blick told ChimpReports.com.

Maxmo Van Pee, Asaf Natan and Ballack Orlando are some of Uganda’s top riders who will miss the first round of East and Central motocross championship this weekend due to personal obligations.

Meanwhile Crown Beverages under their flagship soft drink Mountain Dew and Total Uganda early this week came out to support the Ugandan representatives to Nairobi with Shs. 5 and 4 million respectively.

According to Arthur Blick this will package will help in bike transportation and fuelling to Kenya.
