KCCA Unveils Plans To Curb Traffic Jam In Kampala

The roads that are mostly affected with this problem include; Mulago – Wandegeya road, Nateete – Wakaliga road, Nateete – Lubaga road, Entebbe road among others.

Peter Kaujju, KCCA spokesperson on Thursday told journalists that the authority has for a long time been making plans to reduce traffic jam.

“That’s why the authority ordered for the 400 computer buses from an Indian firm which will lead to the reduction of the taxis in Kampala,” he said.

He noted that when the buses start working, taxis will be limited to some parts of the city and some will be forced to work out side Kampala city.

Kaujju said “Pioneer Easy buses also simplified work and reduced on the congestion and traffic jam by the time they were operating.”

He has called upon all the citizens to work hand in hand for a better Kampala and to come up and participate like it how it was with the pioneer buses.
