UPC: Government Should Foster Equitable Growth

While addressing journalists early this week at the party headquarters in Kampala, Lucima said, President Museveni must recognize that we have two countries in one; for the rich and the poor.

“Rich people who are connected to state power are getting richer and richer, grabbing poor people’s land and the impoverished getting poor and poorer.”

Lucima has advised the president to call for a National convention that would bring together all Ugandans and forge a way forward to unity them.

He also remarked that in this, the government should ensure increased investment in the Agricultural sector since majority of Ugandans depend on Agriculture

“The president should appeal to the interests of Ugandans and ensure equitable growth and development in the country,” added Lucima.
