Mayiga said the more misunderstandings within the management of KCCA render the local people vulnerable to poor services.

Mayiga has however called on all the residents of Kampala to maintain cleanliness and drop the culture of littering rubbish claiming they pay tax to KCCA so it should do the cleaning.

“Buganda is not so worried about its properties under the central government since most of them are in terms of land which can’t be transferred from one place to another,” said Mayiga.

The Mayors together with councilors bought a certificate worth two million shillings as one of the way of expressing their support to Buganda Kingdom treasury.

The Lord Mayor pledged to work hand in hand with Mayiga in all issues concerning the development of Kampala by considering his consultations before taking on any action.

Lukwago also assured Mayiga he is to step up “Kampala City Yange” cleaning exercises where people voluntarily come together to clean the city every last Saturday of the Month.
