“Be rest assured of the government’s protection because this is an issue of the entire state and different sectors have vowed to collaborate to reconstruct the burnt down dormitories,” said Bishagara.
Governor Munyantwari Alphonse of the Southern Province where the school is located said several security agents have kicked off investigations into the cause of the fire with hopes that the culprits are to be found and held accountable in courts of law.
The situation at the school is still tense as students are now living in excessive fear of more fire threats by so far unidentified perpetrators while close to 165 students were early this week sent back home.
The school has so far lost property worth millions of Rwandese francs.
