This loss kept Ever Green 5th on the table with just 2 points from 5 games while Prison climbed up to top position displacing Police Lady Metro with a better goal difference. Ajio Lillian topscored for Prisons with 17 goals while Nakafero Alice and Nanyonga Silvia added 7 and 5 respectively.

Atukwase Alice and Nasanga Jacinta managed only 3 goals each for Ever Green.

In the first men’s game of the day, Police Metro continued with their impressive run beating Police Kifaru 38 – 26. The win pushed Metro up to 3rd position with 6 points while Kifaru stayed 5th on the log with just 2 points from the 5 games played so far. In the late game of the day, Ever Green took on Prison Spears. Giants Ever Green succumbed to a narrow 39-37 defeat in the hands of Prison Spears. Prison’s victory saw them move to second position displacing Ndejje University on goal difference but just like the University side, they have 6 points from the 3 games so far played and just 2 points below defending champions and table leaders UPDF by just 2 points and with a game in hand.

Kongo Ibrahim and Akena Dominic went in double figures with 12 and 11 goals respectively while Anthony Issamat added 5. Semuwemba Patrick top scored for Ever Green with 8 goals with Sabaidu Ismail and Jimmy Orotin adding 6 each.

Next weekend will be even more interesting with the clash of the top two sides at the Kyambogo University grounds. Prison definitely has an edge over UPDF given that the army side hasn’t played since early last month but both teams seem to be looking forward to Saturday.

In the ladies category, UPDF will face Police Lady Metro while struggling sides Arrows and Ever Green as battle
