It is also aimed at establish a stable ground for the faculty and student exchange programmes and collaborative teaching opportunities between the two Universities.

He will be giving a talk on North Carolina State University to an audience including Vice Chancellor and Members of Management, Principals, Deputy Principals, Chairs of Departments, and the Student Guild Executive.

This will be take place from 9:45am to 11:45am in the Senate Building, Level 4, Conference Hall at Makerere University in Kampala.

About Dr. Randy Woodson

He is North Carolina State University’s 14th Chancellor.

North Carolina State University is a preeminent technological research University recognized around the globe for its innovative education and research addressing the grand challenges of society.

Dr. Woodson is an internationally renowned plant molecular biologist specializing in reproductive processes in agricultural crops.

He earned his undergraduate degree in Horticulture from the University of Arkansas and his M.S. and PhD degrees in Plant Physiology from Cornell University.

His research has covered topics such as plant genetics, molecular biology, biotechnology and sustainable bioproducts development. He is widely published with over 100 journal articles and book chapters.
