Barege applauded the good relationship between the two governments and the efforts by the Ugandan president to broker peace talks in Burundi.
He further called on the Ugandan businessmen to invest in his country because of several incentives such as tax holidays.
“Any investor who comes to Burundi is welcome and will be any assistance needed to carryout business,” noted Barege during a press conference in Kampala on Friday.
Acting Secretary General of the Uganda National Chamber Of Commerce and Industry, Martin Oumu noted that this conference would help foster relations between the two countries most especially in trade.
He further noted that more than 300 members have been invited to participate in the conference that mainly targets SMEs .
Oumu therefore urged Ugandan to invest in Burundi to explore Burundi’s potential in tourism, mining and agriculture.
