“On that note, I join the rest of the music fraternity to Congratulate Radio & Weasel on their BET nomination. You learnt from the best and you learnt well. I pray you win it for Uganda. Good luck.”

Chameleone’s statement could be taken with a pinch of salt considering that he is rivals with the successful duo.

The Badilisha star played a pivotal role in the development of Radio and Weasel’s music careers at a time when they were both under Leone Island label.

But the duo later broke ranks with Chameleone thus forming the Goodlyfe Crew.

The singers claim that had they not quit Leone Island, their rise to stardom would have been next to impossible as their beautiful music was being overshadowed by Chameleone’s huge brand.

Goodlyfe has been nominated for the BET awards under the category Best International Act: Africa.

They will battle it out with 2Face Idibia from Nigeria, Toya Delazy and Donald from South Africa, Nigeria’s Ice Prince and R2Bees of Ghana.

The Magnetic hit fame stars recently launched one of their best albums ever, Obudde, attracting thousands of fans at a concert in Kampala.

This is the first time in the history of Uganda that artistes are being nominated for BET, one of the most recognized awards in the world.

The announcement of the 2013 BET Award nominees was made on Tuesday night.
